Ken Gillig is responsible for providing Application Software and CIO Services to clients of Ft. Sheridan Group. With over 35 years of experience Ken ensures the business improvement and IT investment portfolio delivers expected revenue and profit improvements. His proven leadership and management across new business development, process improvement, and technology initiatives has consistently helped companies define the appropriate portfolio and then implement initiatives the right way to operationalize business strategy into sustained performance. He fosters a close working relationship between business and IT teams. Ken brings to his clients the perspective of having held roles in industry with business operations and revenue/gross margin responsibility, as well as IT management and product development. He provides expert program / project planning and execution management helping clients lower business change initiative costs, anticipate and manage risks, ensure business alignment and operational integration of changes. Ken’s expertise in applying business process management, reengineering and Lean/Six Sigma improvement methods drives the realization of expected benefits.
Prior to FSG, Ken held a senior product development and program management position with Nielsen Holdings. Before Nielsen, he held management positions in business risk and business / IT project delivery with BP Products North America, Inc. Prior to BP Ken was Chicago Managing Director of consulting for Lante / Luminant Worldwide Corporation, delivering business and IT management consulting services. Previously he served as Vice President of Development and Chief Technology Officer for MetalMaker, a metals industry supply chain services startup. Before MetalMaker Ken was a Partner for Computer Sciences Corporation managing clients and delivering business and IT business improvement projects. Earlier experience includes: Nolan Norton/KPMG delivering IT management consulting, Digital Equipment Corporation managing/marketing revenue businesses and providing software development services, Sargent and Lundy Engineers in IT applications and systems support roles.
Ken holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago, an M.S. in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. He is affiliated with the Project Management Institute and the Association for Business Process Management Professionals.
